I started playing Bass when I was 15. At that age I was really into slapping! However, my Mum said God would very cross with me, so I stopped! Later that year my girlfriends mum heard me telling her daughter about the need for me to practice my fingering technique. Spent the next few months slapping! Subsequent overheard conversations regarding 'squeezing behind the Nut' and 'licking over the bridge' did nothing to help my situation and I decided that Funk was far to complicated. My friends who were playing rock seemed to be getting girlfriends. I was learning funk and getting very lonely!

I played rock for the next 20 years until I met my wife. She was fine with a bit of spanking and thought that slapping was only to be expected at my age. Time to return to Da funk
