One might call Simon's path to joining the band destiny...
Others might point to the the fact that he woke up the day after moving to Bradford on Avon with a rather sore head and vague recollections of making friends with the lead singer at his pub and even more hazy recollections of agreeing to join a band. Luckily that band turned out to be Soulside.
After many years playing in various different jazz, soul and funk bands, one might say that he has reached the pinnacle of his musical career with Soulside. Others might point to appearances at Ronnie Scotts and the Jazz Cafe in years gone by, but they would be wrong.
Simon heads up the band's legal department although has been known to confess that he's useless at getting people off driving offences and only good at buying and selling companies. That should come in handy then.
